Dr Zhoufei Lu
Postdoctoral Researcher
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Sociology at the University of Oxford. I am currently working on the 'GenTime' project under the supervision of Professor Man-Yee Kan. Before joining Oxford, I obtained my PhD and Master's degrees in Social Statistics at the University of Manchesterm from 2020 to 2024. My research interests include the gendered division of labor, time use patterns and well-being, as well as flexible working and the gig economy.

Dr Henglong Luo
Postdoctoral Researcher
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology, University of Oxford. I obtained my DPhil in Sociology from the University of Oxford, and prior to that, my MPhil in Education Research from the University of Cambridge, and my MRes and MSc in Management from University College London. Broadly, I am interested in how human beings' decisions are shaped by economic rationality and social norms, including topics such as gender, DEI, careers, social capital, human capital, etc. In particular, I am keen on theoretically driven questions, applying multi- or inter-disciplinary perspectives, and obtaining cross-national implications.

Dr. Grace Chang
Posdoctoral Associate
I am a quantitative postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology, University of Oxford. My PhD was in Demography/Population Studies at the London School of Economics, and prior to that, I hold a Masters (MSc) and Bachelor’s (BSc Hons) in Economics from the University of Warwick. I have multi-disciplinary research experiences; in survey methodology, social mobility, longitudinal analyses of child poverty and skills, and longitudinal analyses of young people's time allocation and their outcomes, in various high and low and middle-income countries. My research interests are in time use, human capital, and wellbeing, with much of my work focuses on young people. I am broadly interested in understanding how time reflects decision-making, power and inequalities, and its relationship with individual wellbeing.

Prof Muzhi Zhou
Research Associate
I am an Assistant Professor at the Urban Governance and Design Thrust, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). I study how critical life events, such as marriage or childbirth, reshape people’s lives in the United Kingdom, Europe, and East Asia and factors related to family formation patterns. I also work on the implications of the fast development of digital technology on social inequality.

Dr. Wei Wang
Research Associate
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of International Development, University of Oxford. My current research focuses on values-based leadership development in low- and middle-income countries. I recently completed my DPhil in Sociology at the Department of Sociology, University of Oxford, looking at changes in marriage and family in contemporary China. My research interests include gender studies, marriage and family, character and leadership, and comparative research.
